Paul Beck has been writing about science since 1994. His science specialties include sound, music, and language. When he’s not writing, he’s developing exhibits for the hands-on Pacific Science Center in Seattle, Washington. When his 20-year stint developing exhibits for the hands-on Pacific Science Center (in Seattle, Washington) ended in 2005, he devoted himself to the life of the freelance writer.

Julia Harrison

Cultural anthropologist, teacher, and artist Julia Harrison has been sculpting since she was two years old. Many of her early works are in private collections (and her grandparents say they are always happy to acquire new pieces!). Julia's favorite materials to work with are silver, wood, and chocolate. Her sculptures have been exhibited in Japan, Australia, England, and the U.S.

Jennifer Jacobson

Jennifer Richard Jacobson received her Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has taught preschool through sixth grade and has served as Curriculum Coordinator, Head of Studies, and Language Arts Specialist in several New England schools. Jennifer is the author of ten books for teachers including The Big Book of Reproducible Graphic Organizers, a parenting series that began with How is My 1st Grader Doing in School: What to Expect and How to Help, and award-winning children's books including Andy Shane and the Very Bossy Dolores Starbuckle.
