SmartLab Races Toward the Finish Line This Spring

BELLEVUE, WA (February 2008) – What better way to brush away the doldrums of a long, boring winter than with some high-octane fun guaranteed to stave off an eventual case of spring fever! SmartLab Toys has just the cure for the cabin fever blues.

Introducing SmartLab Remote Control Rocket! Young space enthusiasts (or just casual adventurers) will covet this rocket launcher kit that includes a two-piece rocket, launch pad and remote control launcher. The rocket is fueled by the classic combination of baking soda and vinegar, but then the launch is literally in kids' hands! Press the ignition on the remote and watch as the rocket soars through the sky!

Remote Control Rocket also comes with a 32-page fully illustrated book, packed with intriguing information about rockets, space suits, zero gravity and more. The book is presented as a manual for passengers aboard a Mars-bound rocket, complete with a hypothetical timeline to help intrepid space travelers prepare for a mission into outer space.

Want to keep your head out of the clouds, but still feel the need for speed? ArtLab Car Design Studio is just the ticket! This all-inclusive art kit puts young gearheads behind the wheel of their dream car. Using a light table, traceable acetate overlays and colored pencils, kids will learn how to illustrate customized cars. Includes instructions for creating 10 different tricked-out rides that boast dozens of accessory add-on options, like racing stripes, spoilers and red-hot flames!

Car Design Studio also comes with a 32-page fully illustrated book, featuring tips for drawing custom rides utilizing pattern, texture and embellishment techniques, as well as fun car facts and cool photos to fuel kids' auto enthusiasm.

Both kits are available March 2008 and can be ordered here.
